This year,through strict recruitment and selection and professional general training,young volunteers have made full preparations for the service of the Fifth World Intelligence Congress, and are ready to go!
On May 9, the Young Volunteers Mobilization Conference of the Fifth World Intelligence Congress was held in Tianjin Agricultural University, attended by Vice Mayor Wang Weidong, and more than 200 young volunteers' representatives and leading teachers of the Fifth World Intelligence Congress. Zhu Yubing, Deputy Secretary-General of the Municipal Government, key personnel in charge of the Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology and the Municipal Youth League, key personnel in charge of the Propaganda Department of Tianjin Municipal Party Committee, Tianjin Municipal Bureau of Commerce, Binhai New District and Dongli District, and leaders of Tianjin Agricultural University all attended the event.
Wang Weidong expressed his gratitude to the relevant colleges and universities, relevant units and all young volunteers who gave great support to the volunteer work for the Fifth World Intelligence Congress. He pointed out: The purpose of convening this mobilization conference is to boost the confidence and morale of the masses of young volunteers again, encourage the volunteers, by providing good services, to fully demonstrate the beauty of the young people in Tianjin, demonstrate the confidence and determination of Tianjin to promote the development of the intelligent industry, and demonstrate the good image and atmosphere of Tianjin as an international metropolis.
The conference demanded that the masses of young volunteers earnestly practice General Secretary Xi Jinping's request put forward when inspecting Tsinghua University, to set great aspirations. They need to further strengthen their sense of responsibility, have persistence and perseverance, and be sure to provide high-quality service for the Congress. They need to strengthen study, constantly improve their ability and quality, carry out the responsibility and mission of volunteers, and use their dedication, high-level service, good spirit and sincere volunteer service to build beautiful scenery and a golden business card for Tianjin metropolis, so as to lay a solid foundation for the success of the Congress.
At the conference, the main responsible personnel of the Municipal Youth League introduced the work of volunteers at the Fifth World Intelligence Congress. The volunteers' representatives made a speech and took an oath. All the young volunteers attending the conference made a solemn oath.
The recruitment of volunteers for the Fifth World Intelligence Congress was launched from the beginning of March. Under the leadership of the Tianjin Municipal Committee and Tianjin Municipal People's Government and with the strong support of the municipal departments concerned, the Municipal Youth League attached great importance to, made special arrangements and promotion for the work of volunteers. Under the principles of scientific order, accurate post on demand, and adherence to "excellence choice", 490 students were recruited and selected from six universities, including Tianjin University of Science and Technology, Tianjin University of Finance & Economics, Tianjin Foreign Studies University, Tianjin University of Technology, Civil Aviation University of China, and Tianjin Agricultural University. They will represent nearly 1.4 million young volunteers of Tianjin and participate in the volunteer service for the Fifth World Intelligence Congress. During the Congress, these volunteers will provide services at Tianjin Meijiang Convention and Exhibition Center, airports and railway stations, reception hotels and event venues, etc., including guest reception, forum service, media support and event guidance.
