A circular fan-shaped flaky pastry is on sale on March 24 at Tang Food Street in Datang Everbright City in Xi'an, the capital of Northwest China’s Shaanxi province. The unique pastry's outer layer is made of sticky rice and sweet potato powder and it is filled with maltose. The imagery on the surface of the pastry is created with all-natural fruit powder, vegetable powder, icing sugar, chocolate and other edible materials.
