A groundbreaking ceremony was held on May 31 for Xi'an's key projects in the second quarter, a total of 142 provincial, municipal and district-level key projects. Xi'an is the capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi province.

The total investment and annual planned investment of the 24 advanced manufacturing projects accounted for 51 percent and 60.8 percent of the total investment and the total annual planned investment of the 83 projects, respectively, adding new momentum to the development of a strong advanced manufacturing city.
There are 15 projects with a total investment of more than 1 billion yuan. The total investment in the high-efficiency monocrystalline battery project of LONGi Green Energy Technology Co and the BYD Phase II project has exceeded 10 billion yuan. Also, 23 projects are scheduled to be completed and put into operation this year, including the Lintong Railway Station Historic Block. Meanwhile, 39 projects should be completed and put into operation within two years.
From January to May this year, 473 under-construction, municipal-level key projects completed an investment of 236 billion yuan, reaching 59.7 percent of the annual plan, achieving more than half of the goals one month ahead of schedule.
