Just as the hot summer months set in, the Playa Maya Water Park of Xi'an Happy Valley opened to the public on June 19 in Fengdong New City – located in Xixian New Area, Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi province.
The water park includes five themed areas and boasts various international imported amusement equipment. These include the first domestic water roller coaster and the largest wave pool and the longest river rapids in northwestern China.
As the first water entertainment facility in Xi'an Happy Valley, the water park's opening is expected to greatly boost the cultural and tourism industry of the city.
It is seen helping inherit the civilization of the ancient capital, as well as bringing together the great transport there with the regional and brand advantages.
The water park is projected to attract tens of millions of people from Xi'an and northwestern China, injecting new vitality into the city.

During the COVID-19 epidemic, the park will reportedly be limited to visitors.
The maximum number of visitors per day on weekdays is 5,000 people, while the maximum number of visitors per day on weekends is 15,000. Citizens may make reservations through the Xi'an Happy Valley WeChat public account.
Xi'an Happy Valley is the ninth Happy Valley in the country and has attracted the highest total investment among the Happy Valley family of Overseas Chinese Town Group.
It reportedly includes many themed activities and aims to create a panoramic and immersive area with characteristics of the Qin (221-206 BC) and Tang (618-907) dynasties, relying on the rich historical and cultural resources of Xi'an.
